About

My name is Jess and I’m a passionate teacher of English, currently based in the Solihull area. It’s my belief that every student can achieve success in English and that every child deserves a teacher who inspires them. By creating an encouraging and supportive environment, I help students to not only achieve their goals but also develop a love for English learning.

Experience & Qualifications

I graduated from the University of Birmingham with first-class honours in English and Creative Writing. I began my teaching journey as a teaching assistant, supporting a literacy intervention programme for SEN students. This experience ignited my passion for helping young people build confidence in their English skills, especially those who find traditional learning methods challenging. I went on to complete my teacher training through the King Edward’s Consortium – ranked the UK’s top provider of school-based teacher training – where I earned my PGDipEd. Since then, I have taught at the prestigious Solihull School, where I obtained my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). With years of experience working with a wide range of learners, I understand the importance of tailored support, engaging resources, and a structured approach that empowers every student to succeed.
